2014 Holiday Season was very successful despite alot of rain and cold weather. Preparing for the season is very important. Checklist of supplies needed, design each window as customer describes or to fit the style of the store.
Example of checklist:
Paint, brushes, tape, newpaper, drop clothes, water bucket, paper towel, scraper, stencils, stencil adhesive, windex, designs...I know I am forgetting something but these are the main supplies needed.

Decorative Props

Posted on April 1, 2014 at 7:18 PM Comments comments (786)
Decorative Props as I like to call them are hand cut boards that are made out of plastic material , once cut into the design of choice I hand paint them and add glitter and once dry I punch a hole in them and suction cup and they are instant art for your window! I know this is a time consuming way of adding decoration but it is fun and unique. My customers like it and have fun creating special pieces that they can change up every so often or season to make their windows fun and exciting for their customers to enjoy!
Well just wanted to share this info hope you like them!

Lemon tree, Orange tree

I have a customer that decided to do some creative things in her home. She had me faux finish her dining room with a gold texture glaze and then paint a lemon tree in one corner and an orange tree in the other. She wanted to vases to resemble her china in her china cabinet, so I took the pieces home and matched the color paints. I made s stencil of the vase and tranfered to her wall to make sure they were the same size and shape. I did the trees freehand but did look at pictures of these trees for detail. The shading is the most important to creat depth and a more life like tree. Each tree took about 2 hours to paint. I think they are pretty, do you like?

Outdoor wall mural

One of my best friends, Colette refered me to this job and I almost turned it down before checking it out because I didn't think I could do it!  I was thinking a car and Marilyn Monroe, Elvis and James Dean, how can I do this on a large scale. But I listened to Colette, as she encouraged me to try and it wasn't as bad as I thought!
I prayed through it and voila! God has blessed me and I am so grateful!
The owner was happy and added some more painting to the front of the store. I will post those following this blog. So a word of encouragement, don't let your fears stop you from trying and if it goes well or not, you succeeded just by going for it!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lusterstone, textures, faux finish, decorative paintingI have had a pink bedroom for 21 years and enough was enough. I decided to go darker so my husband would feel it was more manly but yet romantic and relaxing at the same time...I found a beautful bedding set at JC Penny and it is taupe and very nice. i decided to match up some Lusterstone colors to the bedding and came up with Weathered Bronze and Antique Parchment...and I think it works. Now I just need to save up for my new furniture!
